The Nathan F Cobb ( United States) grounded on the outer sand bar off the coast of Ormond Beach, FL. The schooner capsized after leaving port from Brunswick, Georgia and drifted to Ormond Beach in Northeast Florida. Two crewman and a civilian rescuer were killed during the incident.
